I finished Eternia a few days before making Destiny 2's finale....It took me a while to edit this due to forgetfulness and laziness.

Shizel has two forms (just like any good final boss....sometimes even 3 or 4 or 5 or 6!). Her first form is pretty weak sauce, since her spells dont do THAT much damage. It's pretty much annoyance as she likes to spam low to mid tier spells a lot as well as bringing up invincible barriers whenever she casts magic...making missing of Aqua Spirals even more of a kick in the balls.

Main gimmick of these fights is her Eternal Finality Hi-Ougi, which you need to counter it with Reid's Eternal Infinity by holding the Square+X+Circle buttons during her Hi-Ougi's animation.

For artes and what not, I found it best to use my base and low-tier arcane artes such as Majinken, Chirisazame, Kogahazan + Raijin Souhazan to minimize TP consumption. I also used Mouko Rengekiha as Reid's damage/stagger dealer, but mostly I used these artes for interrupting and pushing. It's best not to get too crazy with your artes in the first Shizel fight as well as the initial parts of the Nereid fight.

For magic it's best to use mid-tier spells in the first Shizel fight for lowering TP usage. Max is our main DPS and I havent really boosted up his TP so to recover from our HP/TP it's a pretty good idea to Auto-Cook to refill most of your strength.

Nereid Shizel is a whole 'nother ball game. For one, I love how chaotic the battle is because Nereid will increase her Tetra spelling use over and over again which can be difficult to approach her. Buffing your party with Barrier, Holy Bless and Sharpness (if you have it) is a must as well as debuffing her with Acid Rain and Delay. This time it's a good idea to have one of your Craymel mages as a dedicated healer (Nurse and Cure are very good healing spells) while the other spams Shooting Stars. Max's Aqua Spiral again...is a complete Hax and therefore nicely shortens the fight and lessens the risk of being deaded when Nereid decides to go spell crazy when she's at low HP.

Also make sure your party is equipped with Poison Checks to prevent the Weak debuff as it'll sap away all of your TP and relying on Recover for remedying that is too risky as Big SFX attacks/spells will constantly stay on screen for 80% of the time making recovering debuffs being too late when you do pull it off.

Reid's job is basically cornering/interrupting Nereid as much as possible. Majinken/Kogahazan + Raijin Souhazan does wonders and it's great for it's low TP cost. She gets crazy when she's at low HP as she'll corner your party with Fearful Flare, Bloody Howling, Holy Lance and Pluto along with her shooting balls so usually in a situation like that you'd want to manually move your party out of the way but because she'll use her Finality Dead End Hi-Ougi on your team when her HP gets depleted....and the only way to survive it is by using Infinity Reviver with Reid....if you're not controlling Reid when she pulls that final attack...you're pretty much screwed because you cant change characters during the animation (believe me it screwed me over once because of it lol).

And with that Eternia is saved! YAY I beat my first run of Eternia on Hard! What a game. I cant wait to LP it someday....
