Celsius & Aquadragon was a fight I originally skipped alongside other group fights because Gaius can't deal with several enemies at once. However, Samu has recently found a glitch that affects flying enemies and thus changes how to approach this boss, effectively turning a 1v2 into an 1v1!

I recommend watching his video about the glitch ( https://youtu.be/LeTZ50x1B7c ) but basically, it requires a source of Time Stop (namely Opportune Moment, Stop Flow or Hourglass) and any Arte with stun rate. Once the enemy has been affected by Time Stop, stun them and quickly hit them again before time goes back to normal. If done correctly, the enemy will be "stunned" indefinitely until you stagger them again.

In theory it's easy to set up but in practice not so much. The beginning of the fight is incredibly random because there's nothing I can do to manipulate Celsius' and Aquadragon's actions and they can Link which is something I want to avoid, so it all comes down to luck. Although funnily enough, Aquadragon can be the Leader while glitched and Celsius will just stand next to it forever.

Either way, it doesn't really matter what Celsius does but out of the four attacks Aquadragon can use (claw swipe, tail spin, charge attack and Splash Breath), it's only worth to dodge the first two. Be careful because Celsius can body block you while backstepping.
Linking with Rowen grants access to Opportune Moment and since its duration has been nerfed from Xillia 1, an Eradication Sweep + Demon Fang is my best bet to trigger the glitch before the Time Stop effects ends.

Once the glitch is active, I target Celsius and correct my position with sidesteps to face her (can't use a frontstep because of Retribution). If she used Ice Raid, she will always retreat a bit so I can attack with Dragon Swarm right away to start a combo. Otherwise, I do a couple backsteps to lure her away from the Aquadragon and wait until I can find an opening.
Celsius is the same as her previous encounter, with her small hurtbox and barely any Iron Stance, but this time she has around half HP (~214k vs ~407k). She's still weak to Slash so equipping a Fire weapon is not necessary, and I have the means to start a weakness combo against the Aquadragon without it, so I can instead use a Dark weapon for the extra multiplier. There's not much else to say though, Celsius goes down in like 20 seconds.

As for the Aquadragon, Dragon's Maw is my best Arte to start a combo. It deals enough hits to go through its Iron Stance and since it hits to elements at once, Fire and Wind, the Aquadragon won't be able to counter.
I decided to not rely on stuns for this combo given how random the beginning of the fight can be, although there's still a luck element with knockdown cooldown due to using an aerial Tiger Blade → Obliteration Cross in quick succession. And as Rowen is around, he can assist with a Link Arte for the finishing blow!
