Tatsunoko vs. Capcom -- 14 May 2013, vs. BSQUARED #03
I apologize in advance if these videos just keep on coming even more than I might have otherwise been properly inclined to produce... but it's just been so long since I played and even longer since I had an opponent as unworthy as I am! ...wait... no... that doesn't... uh...
Well, I guess I'll be back to having zero opponents in my general relative skill plateau soon enough... once BSQUARED sees what awful things I chose to retain proof of and the horrible things I've been saying about him...

Match #1 -- Gesellschaft (Storm)
Yatterman-1 and Ryu (MS.MUTOU)
vs.
Saki and Tekkaman Blade (BSQUARED)
So what'll happen now that the oversized rifle is slung strategically under the other arm? I've got... a children's toy and a barefoot martial artist. Granted, he's apparently surpassed all reasonable human conditioning and physical performance, but.. gun beats fits. Oh, and we've got a space dual-blade swordsman with a giant beam cannon capacity, so... there's that, too.
That said, I suppose I'm forced to underestimate the jerkstore capacity of BSQUARED's Saki (and even Tekkaman Blade could do with a little more annoying antics, I think)... so... is that good or bad?
All of that is pointless excuse-making, though... because what I really like is the way this ended up.
---
Match #2 -- Gesellschaft (Clear Skies)
Saki and Ippatsuman (MS.MUTOU)
vs.
Roll and Yatterman-2 (BSQUARED)
Oh, and Saki's back... what's the deal with some of the randomization here? And this isn't even ALL of the duplication, so count yourselves lucky to a certain extent. Wait, none of these characters should be here! Stop repeating!
On a complete side note, I'm forced to wonder if a lot of elements of these didn't end up as prototypes for what would eventually become elements of the Marvel vs. Capcom 3 continuum in somewhat unexpected ways. For example, Saki's ranged rifle combo is performed exactly the same way Sentinel can use his double "Neutralize" laser combo, and the special spark ammunition feels like it has a lot in common with Dr. Strange's Eye of Agamotto... just minus the Impact Palm to get it moving, but setting it
I have no why I'm off on this tangent, but maybe it's to distract everyone how I managed to make Saki even more of a jerk than before... at least if you asked me.
---
Match #3 -- Yatterman's Workshop
Yatterman-1 and Batsu (MS.MUTOU)
vs.
Chun-Li and Ken the Eagle (BSQUARED)
Now my real question is how the outcome actually came about as it did... because I think there's no question whatsoever, Ken was the real MVP here and there was a bunch of cool stuff done... Batsu just kinda punched and kicked at things, and Gan's just doing the same old same-old aimless... wait, what's he doing? I literally have only one trick, and you've seen it a couple times now. The rest is basically unfocused ad-libbing of a couple moves I already knew combined with seemingly random Level 1 Hypers.
Now, if you'll excuse me, I've been taking notes and will try to make a point of stealing this Eagle ninjutsu and try to reverse-engineer it on my own some other time. Y'know... if I remember to. Or can decipher my own notes...

Match #4 -- Washinkyo, Amehon
Megaman Volnutt and Roll (MS.MUTOU)
vs.
Megaman Volnutt and Roll (BSQUARED)
Two thoughts... What?! WHAT?! Now I know the randomizer is trolling me.
That said, Megaman is the KING of the jerkstore. No questions asked. I went and abused his particular talents on my once and only major attempt to play Survival Mode... I forget why, but it seemed like a good idea at the time, I'm sure.
To top things off, I'm not sure if it's more jerkly to pair him up with the already jerkish Zero or to keep Roll around for that oh-so-infuriating healing potential... it's a tough call, but at least the randomizers conspired so that it wasn't my own. But seriously... yeesh. What the heck, man?
On the other hand, there is much darkness for the Squared B to absorb here... absorb into robot flesh and pain-ridden memory banks!
