Tatsunoko vs. Capcom -- 14 May 2013, vs. BSQUARED #04
So the durations didn't really come out balanced, and I'm going to fess up right now that I kinda "failed" when cutting these matches up in the first place anyway... but basically this is what happens when you go with the dangerous (and deadly!) combination of taking a large recording session one chunk at a time and fail to throw back parts of the session quite as liberally as you probably should...
That said, my "failure" is your sweet, sweet benefit, in that all this means is that there'll be more stuff to watch up front. Lucky you! ...I think?
The real "cure" here, is obviously to pay more often and become jaded enough that I'm more willing to separate the wheat from the chaff instead of being downright excited by almost every match that staggers its way past me.

Match #1 -- Burning Wasteland
Tekkaman Blade and Kaijin no Soki (MS.MUTOU)
vs.
Zero and Tekkaman (BSQUARED)
So this is what I resorted to at some point in the session, particularly because I'd gotten just a little fed up with all the unnecessary character repetition going on... so I decided to go for a "manual random" approach, which while not necessarily the most efficient means, I can at least decided I don't like the result's repetitive nature and re-roll as needed.
I swear that even while blind, this method actually gets weirder results... like the Mega Man and Roll combination from last video. In this case, we've got the less-shocking, but still interesting old versus new of Tekkaman and Tekkaman Blade.
I think I've pointed it out before, but just so we're clear, Tekkaman Blade isn't just a visual update or retread of the original... it's actually quite a bit different story that simply pays visual and nominal homage to its forebear.

Match #2 -- Daigo Temple (Cherry Blossoms)
Chun-Li and Casshern (MS.MUTOU)
vs.
Roll and Chun-Li (BSQUARED)
I'd remark on the mirrored nature of Chun-Li being on both sides of the field... but that's apparently pretty much entirely irrelevant. Casshern is just that much of a beast. No wonder the only way to guarantee survival is to devour him, because simply leaving him be will almost certainly result in death.
I was actually a little concerned that Roll would be too short to hit with the inexplicable beam of robotic doom, but perhaps even more interesting than that is how her healing pellet Hyper makes her a smaller target than usual... well, as much as can be said for such as that, anyway.
---
Match #3 -- Les Vagas
Alex and Jun the Swan (MS.MUTOU)
vs.
Batsu and Tekkaman (BSQUARED)
I thought at first that this would be a little too one-sided and thus merit a throwback, but even my unimpressive display of Alex's extreme physical power can serve as a pretty fearsome game-changer...
Now, if only I could've also remembered how to use Jun's moves in greater variety than just the same ones over and over again, but I suspect that she has just a tad "too many" for me to get right... which is weird, because I could've sworn it was about the same (or maybe even less!) than Ken's got, and he's much less problematic. (Joe still needs some special attention from me, though... but that's really neither here nor there...)
---
But wait, there's more! Don't let the short running time and even greater shortage of words for this being the final dregs of the session... actually, I seem to have created and subsequently uploaded these things out of order, so look forward to a climactic flourish yet to come... and THEN I'll have a long, hard word with myself about the need for proper editing down and all that jazz.
