Actually, if there's something I want to take the chance to ramble on about that's only tangentially related (as usual, but I was very explicit in my warning last time, right?!)... multiplayer upload buffering and scheduling with multiple (even prospective) uploaders present.

That is, particularly in games where the action will not change via unique player perspective, you'll want to avoid overlap and give both uploaders something nice to take home as a souvenir... and hopefully manage to do so in a timely fashion. I've been kinda slacking and building up raw footage without really doing much besides chasing one day's upload after another and hoping not to slip too much as you carry on.

This, naturally, can be a little awkward for planning, much less cooperating with other people's planning, ESPECIALLY if you want to keep things from getting awkward with too much duplication of efforts.

The other half to this last batch of matches, natch:

So, I guess what I'm trying to say is that it's entirely my fault that the video on the other end is so short. On the other hand, I'm kinda surprised there was only one near-redundancy that almost was. I guess we happened to emphasize entirely different things in terms of what makes for a desirable upload.

Of course, I'm not blind to the fact that some frivolous and unnecessary strikes will eventually hit people who don't really deserve them, so ridiculous spans of time without the ability to be flexible in one's upload length (I think... six months?) will definitely cause a reorganization of priorities that I can't imagine how I'd deal with.

Well, probably better than I might be inclined to think, since while I rather appreciate and enjoy the added length leeway, I also became quite the "clever" clipster when it comes to arranging things under stricter conditions.

Match #1 -- Pirate Ship
Jigglypuff (Joou)
vs. Pit (Snivy)
vs. Luigi (B×B)
vs. Kirby (KOK)

I think I've complained way more than anyone has any reasonable right to (at least without expecting counter-complaints or at least rolled eyes or tired groans), but the randomizers are being weird... and not just in this game, and not just on my end, but basically in some kind of huge collaborative pseudorandom conspiracy. So you end up with all these extra Jigglypuffs, while Snivy had trouble shaking Pit, and Tatsunoko vs. Capcom won't quit rolling Yatterman-2 (I swear this is a real thing) and Karas (that might be it picking up on my lack of prowess, though) or doubled-up rapid Nu or Jin in BlazBlue. I can believe any of these would happen to happen in isolation... but it just gets weird to have that be the common thread in my recollection. Spooky!

Then again, to undercut myself and advocate devilry against my clearly bulletproof case of being toyed with by forces quite cosmic... it's not like one's recollection of the pseudorandom distribution will extend to be all that much of a "bigger picture" sort of situation and for that matter, the cases that stand out will only stand out selectively... so it's really probably fine in the long run. Probably.

It's still vaguely "upsetting" in the small bursts we deal in, right?! Yeah! Perfectly rational!

Of course, there are worse things to get stuck on than Jigglypuff... even though I'm pretty sure everyone goes through a phase as beginners to the game where they consider her unfairly as a bit of an underachiever.

Seriously, what a ridiculous notion! Jigglypuff was clearly made Subspace Emissary postgame material because there's no way the forces of evil would stand a chance.

Match #2 -- Luigi's Mansion
R.O.B. (Joou)
vs. Fox (Snivy)
vs. Captain Falcon (B×B)
vs. Jigglypuff (KOK)

Hey, at least this is a repeat I don't really recall seeing that often under normal circumstances, since I'm not really sure I get to hang out with the Robot Operating Buddy all that much... or maybe he's an unassuming fixture of the landscape, and I don't give him as much credit as he deserves...

---

Match #3 -- Pokémon Stadium
Ice Climbers (Joou)
vs. Pikachu (Snivy)
vs. Wolf (B×B)
vs. Wolf (KOK)

See! See?! The randomizers are even in cahoots! This isn't even the first time from this session, although I don't think another example escaped both sides' cutting room floors...

Wait, what? You're saying I need to at least pretend like I'm being relevant by talking about the matches some, too? Nonsense! Where do you even get those crazy ideas... on a more serious note, I think at this point that I'm so far deep into the game's specifics that I only care to notice the most specific and "insignificant" details, and if I should bring them up in a description, it feels like I'm spoiling the surprise even more than other cases... which I find to be a rather fascinating differentiation...

Do I want to set up these clips?
No, I think it's self-explanatory.
(Funny story. The script called for me to say "Yes", but I gave it a little twist.)
