Teenage Mutant Hero Turtles for the NES (known as Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles in North America) is a side-scrolling action-adventure game released by Konami in 1989. Players control the four turtles—Leonardo, Michelangelo, Donatello, and Raphael—each with unique weapons and abilities, as they battle through challenging levels filled with enemies from the TMNT universe. The game combines platforming and top-down exploration, requiring players to rescue April O’Neil and Splinter from Shredder’s forces. Despite its high difficulty, it became a cult classic and was one of the best-selling NES games of its time.
