Glad we got another chance to play this again. Tekken 3 was, in so many ways, such a huge milestone for fighting games. First, the presentation was through the roof. An incredible intro movie, full CG cutscenes for EVERY character that continues the story further, fresh cutting-edge 3D gameplay that now introduces side-step for everyone that defines the Tekken meta to this day. A massive roster with many newcomers that are now staples, a ton of unlockables, and classic soundtrack on CD. Namco also took a massive risk of replacing the previous protagonist Kazuya Mishima with a brand new hero Jin Kazama. It was a huge success, not only in the arcades but so much so that Tekken 3 remained at top 5 most sold PlayStation games of all time and regarded as one of the greatest games ever. The extra modes you could unlock were also amazing. Tekken force has you play any character in a beat 'em up style across several stages and to this day it's a highly requested mode we all hope they bring back. Tekken Ball has you play a beach style mode using your fighters attacks to spike it lol. Thinking back on everything it's truly amazing how perfect this game is. The wild gamble of doing a 20 year jump with so many new characters, and having it all pay off.
