PlayStation fans never got to experience how amazing Ninja Gaiden was, due to it being a console exclusive. Finally, Ninja Gaiden Sigma was released for the PS3. This version was built from the ground up with better graphics, resolution and plenty of new content. Quality of life changes as well, such as being able to use your heals without pausing, more save locations and you can even use your bow while jumping. Another cool thing is that you can skip through the difficulties by beating a special boss fight at the start, allowing us to play Master Ninja Difficulty right away. Not everything is perfect though, some things were removed and that soured hardcore Ninja Gaiden community. Some adventure aspects such as backtracking and puzzles have either been cut short, altered or taken out. There's also all new Rachel missions that a lot of people felt slowed down the pace of the game. There's also costumes and armor equipment that adjust Ryu's stats, making the game much easier than the original too. I've played all the versions recently so I was able to catch a ton of the tiny changes made, and I still felt overall this is still a master piece that is a must play. If you never experienced Ninja Gaiden before and Sigma is an easy way for you to do that, then I wouldn't worry about it. You'll still be blown away by one of the best action games ever made. This is Part 1 of our playthrough.
