This is a playthrough using Heihachi Mishima in the GBA game Tekken Advance. Read on below for more information...

Heihachi is the one and only end boss in the game, and he is an unlockable playable character.

===== HOW TO UNLOCK HEIHACHI =====

Beat Arcade mode with all of the regular 9 characters. After you've done that, Heihachi will be available on the character select screen.

===== ABOUT HEIHACHI =====

Ever since his debut in Tekken 1, Heihachi has gone from strength to strength in the series, being one of only four characters in the franchise to appear in all 7 games up to this point (at this time of writing). A classic character and a staple of the series.

In Tekken Advance, which is based on Tekken 3, Heihachi would be the natural choice for the boss of the game. Gameplay/moves-wise he has retained most of what he has in Tekken 3, so you will be immediately familiar with TA Heihachi.

===== ABOUT TEKKEN ADVANCE =====

If you ever imagined what a 2D version of Tekken would be like, then Tekken Advance would be one example of it. Instead of using cartoony style sprites, they have instead used sprites that have been captured, resized and edited from the character's 3D models in Tekken 3. The result is quite a pixelated look to the characters. The game is based on Tekken 3 and Tekken Tag Tournament 1.

Despite the animation being jerky, the game is very playable and actually does play like Tekken. You can pretty much choose a character you're familiar with and jump straight into the action, with a few adjustments of course.

There are 3-on-3 Tag modes in the game, which allows players to have teams of three switchable characters.

The soundtrack, besides from a few tracks, seems to be new and exclusive to this game.

===== ADDITIONAL INFORMATION / TRIVIA =====

---- There does not seem to be any winning poses/animations in the game, which is understandable.

---- There are no character endings in the game.

---- Most of the character's standard throw animations have been replaced with a short automatic combo.

---- This is the only Tekken game to not have post-round replays.

---- Due to the game's sprites being 2D, there are only alternate colour-palettes, meaning no alternative costumes. This is because having different costumes would require an entire sprite set of a character to be redrawn, which is almost like creating a new character.

---- The majority of the game's soundtrack is exclusive to this version of Tekken. The only tracks that are not are the character select theme (from PS1 Tekken 3); Law's stage theme (from Arcade Tekken 3); and Heihachi's stage theme (from Arcade Tekken 3).

---- When King and Nina perform their chain command throws, the screen will switch to a series of still images of them doing the moves on a black silhouette of a person, regardless of their opponent.

---- The game's stages/backgrounds are locations from Tekken 3, but appearance-wise they are based on the Tekken Tag Tournament 1 ones.

---- Some of the stages that appear in the game are "owned" by characters that do not appear in the game themselves. One example is this is Eddy's Grassy Land stage, which is used by King and Xiaoyu.

---- Some of the stages are shared, with colour palette changes to them to make them a "different" stage. One example of this is Paul sharing Jin's dojo stage.
