Were you there when this game hit arcades, and then went on to grace the PS2 with one of the slickest intros ever? It's kind of crazy how much reach this game had back in the day: this game was practically everywhere, both in the streets and in homes. Plus, as much as I enjoyed how Tekken 3 handled, I missed the OG Tekken cast. There's a little bit of something for everyone in here!

In particular, I have a very fond memory of playing this game in a small arcade by the shore during trips with my grandparents. It's actually a title very near and dear to my heart, kind of like Puzzle de Pon!, or Pocket Fighter. So once in a while, I like booting this game up now and then and tearing through it. (Or Tekken Bowl. Sometimes it's fun yeeting Iron Grandad down the lane.)

... that said, I've clearly been busy playing a bunch of other stuff, lmao. I dropped the Xiao juggle so many times... whoops~

I'm kinda tempted to give this another shot: the AI has a bad habit of sweeping on wakeup in this game, which you can bait then punish with a WGF, and then repeat the process after knockdown. Kiiinda wanna see if I can do this faster lmao. Maybe another day!

Played on PS2, Normal difficulty.
