Tekkit - Power theorycrafting - Lava
1This time I compare two setups using lava as fuel; Geothermal Generator and Combustion Engine.
The first setup is probably how it was ment to be used:
Geothermal Energy

The other setup uses:
Combustion Engine
Engine Generator (LV)
(Glass Fibre Cable)
MFE
With the geothermal generator, 20.000 EU is extracted from one lava bucket. This goes rather quickly (20 EU/t). With the alternative setup, over 50.000 EU is generated from one lava bucket. But the process is extremely slow (somewhere between 2 and 3 EU/t) so it does not really feel quite as useful as the normal setup.
