Teladoc sure is an App That Exists (TelaDoc Health App Review)
Teladoc Review – Worth It? Not Really.
Jack Jenkins reviews Teladoc Health, expressing overall disappointment with its service and app. While the blood pressure monitor included in the welcome kit is high-quality, the app falls short in usability and functionality.
Program & Costs:
Teladoc offers various health programs (e.g., hypertension management), but pricing is unclear. Jack’s insurance was charged $65 for the blood pressure kit and $27/month for app access, which was cancelled due to inactivity.
Strengths:
Well-made blood pressure monitor and case
Bluetooth syncing works smoothly
Weaknesses:
Poor app design: Slow loading, clunky interface, and basic features
Activities lack depth: Text-based instructions instead of interactive content
Limited food logging: No barcode scanning or AI-powered features
No rewards system: Minimal motivation or gamification
Bugs: Data export failures and missing trendlines
Jack completed 29 days on the program and noticed improvements in his blood pressure, though he attributes this to lifestyle changes rather than the app. He recommends using cheaper alternatives like MyFitnessPal unless insurance covers Teladoc. Ultimately, the app feels outdated and not worth the price.
Verdict: An uninspired, mediocre experience. Better apps exist—Teladoc won’t stay on Jack’s phone.

[Reminder to Grab blood pressure kit]
I'm not going to lie… these are my favorite reviews. Where I go in and complain about a mediocre product and tell people it's not worth using. Today's victim is Teladoc Health, a home telemedicine company whose stock goes down faster than a roller-coaster. Here I am, giving a negative review to twist the knife even more. What's going on everybody? My name is Jack Jenkins, and I welcome you to my YouTube channel. I do reviews and challenges to improve myself, and today, I am reviewing the Teladoc app.
[Intro]
Teladoc offers a ton of different services. From Mental health therapy to diabetes management, many products and courses are available to those who need it. To decide what is needed, you must first fill out a questionnaire. I did so and was put on the hypertension management program. I am someone who does have higher blood pressure and a lot of other obesity-related issues. I am a thirty-year-old six foot twoish, two-hundred- and eighty-nine-pound man… of course I am going to have some wonderful health problems. With this program, I hope to be motivated or at least feel helped along in reducing these problems and live a better life. As part of this program, I received a blood pressure monitor, an action plan, and support from the Teladoc coaches.
You may be wondering how much all of this costs? Well, it's incredibly hard to say, as prices are hidden and based on the program's needs. My insurance was charged sixty-five dollars for the blood pressure kit and twenty-seven dollars per month when I used the program. After a while, though, you get a letter in the mail saying, "Hey, you're not using Teladoc? We'll cancel your account," and then you can't get in anymore. You can still use the device it just won’t sink with the app but you can manually type it in Apple Health App if you are an iPhone user which is what I’ve been doing.
So what about the welcome kit? How is the quality of the physical products you receive? The blood pressure monitor and cuff are Bluetooth compatible so it's honestly not that badly priced. In case you are wondering the monitor and cuff are so nice. It syncs with the app perfectly and comes with this caring case. Overall, no issues with the quality of the hardware with the provided devices. Everything on that end is very well made and is better than the one I picked up at target a few years ago. A plus on is front. The app on the other hand has some issues. As that is what you are mainly paying for… things are going to go downhill.
