10The Deep is a ZX Spectrum title that offers an action-oriented arcade game with a twist. Released by U.S. Gold in 1988 and developed by Emerald Software, it puts players in control of a boat defending itself against underwater foes. This is a slightly obscure arcade conversion which offers some spot on arcade action enjoyment and there's lots of variation in level design. At the time The Deep got absolutely slammed in the magazine reviews and its execution left critics and players divided. This doesn't deserve its pitiful scores, there's a good game in here, definitely underrated.
