The BEST NEW VR Zombie Game? Or Bug Filled MESS? // Zombie Army VR Hands On
493Zombie Army VR is a brand new VR instalment in the popular Zombie Army franchise, it's launching this year for Quest, PSVR2 & PC VR and I went hands on with the game at Gamescom last week... but is it any good? Is this the BEST VR zombie game of 2024? Or does it need more time in the oven? Well to put it simply my Zombie Army VR gameplay experience at Gamescom was the weirdest, wonkiest and most bug ridden demo of the week and sadly it painted a picture of a new VR game that needs more time before its made available to the public. I've played Zombie Army Trilogy extensively so I knew roughly what to expect with Zombie Army VR, a mindless, silly, over the top co-op VR zombie shooter with a whacky story and some cool slow motion kill cam mechanics. A sort of Left 4 Dead lite that WW2 weaponry and for the most part that's exactly what I got in my Zombie Army VR gameplay experience... however there are currently just too many bugs and issues with the build I played and my only hope is Rebellion take the time to squash them all before launch.
This Zombie Army VR gameplay was captured at Gamescom from the PSVR2 build of the game, I haven't experienced the PC VR or Quest builds so can't speak on those, but as it stands the PSVR2 Zombie Army VR experience needs some quality control before I could comfortably recommend it. Fingers crossed it gets the polish it needs ahead of release.
