What if Ready or Not had stayed true to its original vision? I’ve explored this possibility by downloading a 2022 version of the game and modding it with some of the best content we once had. Plus, I’ve tailored my own mods specifically for this build, creating an experience that feels like the game that should have been.
In this old / updated version, you’ll experience a very dynamic and natural close-quarters combat (CQC) flow. With just a few simple macros for three team commands, you can clear maps seamlessly—without needing to access menus or take your eyes off your sights. This is my vision of how tactical shooters are meant to be played.
Yeah, the graphics aren't as good as I'd remembered, especially how night vision and flashlights didn't work as intended. There are graphics glitches, some visibility problems with the AI and other issues. But, this version was still deep into Early Access, it's an acceptable compromise. My point remains though: If this was the game that received the QoL and optimization fixes, and the new maps and other hard content, it would launch to 1.0 in a much more solid state in terms of gameplay. Damn, this build here already plays like a finished game.

A reshade profile to solve the NVGs (once and for all - i basically turned native bloom off and used reshade for that, I added a second eye adaptation layer for the NVGs and some other stuff)
