THE BEST VR version of Resident Evil 7 is NOW ON PC! // Quest 2 Airlink Gameplay
1,782The best VR version of Resident Evil 7 is now on PC thanks to this new VR mod update from Praydog that brings full motion control support to one of the best horror games out there. VR mods with motion controls are a special kind of incredible, to take a game that never let you freely move your characters arms to aim weapons or reach into an inventory system to retrieve items and then make all of these things possible is mind blowing and that's exactly what's happened with the new Resident Evil 7 VR mod from Praydog! This new VR mod takes an already incredible horror game (and fantastic VR game for PSVR) and makes it playable with full motion control support on PC VR, meaning players with a full range of headsets can now experience what PSVR players have been enjoying for years except NOW we can aim independantly and rely on the much more precise and immersive motion controls over the comfortable relaxing nature of the PS4 controller. I captured this Resident Evil 7 VR Quest 2 gameplay via Airlink and dropped almost all of the graphics settings in game to low or medium, this might sound like a rough way to play but as you can see the visuals are SUPERB even on the lower settings. The Resident Evil 7 VR mod actually runs very smoothly for me on Medium or High but this had a huge impact on the game capture/OBS, overloading the recording at points which meant footage turned into a slideshow. If you struggle to run this mod I've found personally lowering the resolution can give you a HUGE bump in performance whilst the game continues to look phenomenal. As far as VR motion controls go this is the best implementation I've ever seen in a modded game, its responsive and feels tailor made for this kind of control system, being able to grab health drinks over your shoulder is an added stroke of genius and physical blocking is also inspired.
