I've been reading Charles Dickens and I decided that I like when people write really metaphorically and pretentiously where it's almost hard to understand so even though I said I'd never do it I decided to do it anyway. It's weird because coming across as pretentious is like my greatest fear but everything I love is like discussions of high concepts and lofty ideas and crazy writing. Disco Elysium, Evangelion, everything Frasier says. It's such a fine line and I suppose it's an easy insult against something you 'don't get' but at the same time a lot of stuff really does cross the line. I suppose the only way to figure out where the line is to poke around in the dark.
In all seriousness, why does it only apply to stuff online. Are we going to start calling Films and Albums and Paintings The C Word, what is the difference between them and the amazing stuff uploaded to this site?
I tried really hard not to use any footage of or by normal people in this video. It feels unfair to single people out directly when it's a systemic issue.
