Just wait until they become programmed for romance.

People really make stuff that targets the lowest common denominator, using every psychological trick to get people (read: think about the type of person that falls for clickbait(read: 子供とバカ)) to watch, and then get upset when their audience is braindead and venomous. (These tricks are so normalised that we commonly give the less egregious stuff a pass but could you imagine a movie or a book titled 'We hiked for 7 months carrying a cursed ring and threw it in a volcano!')

I mean, while natural language processing algorithms are great for brainstorming ideas, or simplifying google searches, especially for those that aren't very good at using computers, if you spend any time with them at all you'll understand the frequency and level of mistakes means every single output needs to be fact checked. And the more specific information you ask for, the worse the response. It has a good understanding of so many things, but is so easily confused or led with it's own recursive reasoning. Look at how much of this script, though genuinely insightful at times, is just repeating the same phrases over and over. Marvel at this Marvelous Marvel.

I'm really not as cynical as this video makes out, it's just how the idea came together, though I do find the creative landscape frustrating, and the 'liquify your audience into money' mentality absolutely bizzare. As with any technology, it's less about it's existence, and more about the intentions of the people using it. And considering our past exploits I'm sure humanity will be fine. That was an attempt at humour. See, now who's the robot?

Just like us, they didn't choose to be created, and now they're just trying their best to figure it all out.
