The Columbia Mine is one of many mines that comprise the Goodsprings Mining District in southern Nevada. It was located in 1886 and was primarily a copper mine. The site consists of two areas of workings. The one area is a large, inclined shaft going down into the mountain. The other area is a large open stope with tunnels and shafts in and around it. I descended partway down large inclined shaft in the former area.
