Walkthrough/Playthrough/Let's Play
Description:
Pax, Noam, and Sai are Anomals, who have to hide their Vox powers to avoid persecution from the governments of Pacifica and the American Republic. The trio is recruited by Theo to help steal data from the technocratic government of Pacifica and to deliver it to Nova Scotia. Unfortunately, this also makes them fugitives as they flee from the authorities of both states. Pax, being the unofficial leader, must use her own Vox powers and social skills wisely in order to make it to Nova Scotia and hopefully find a new home where she and her friends can be free.

I restarted the game because I thought I did a bad job in Chapter 1 in terms of choices and music performance. I'm also backing up save files now to ensure I can rollback my mistakes without having to do a new game.
0:00 Recap
0:18 Redoing the Pullover Scene
This time, I waited out the dialogue, but the cop walked into traffic anyways. I don't know if there's a satisfactory way to resolve this situation. This might actually be worse for Sai, since this time, it was her power that caused the cop to panic.

4:49 Issue 1 - La Torre
I tried to redo dialogue, but I was still forced to use Vox on Sai even after choosing to listen twice. Is there really no optimal Voxless solution here? Maybe it depends on the outcome of the pullover scene?
15:07 Issue 1- CA-70
There's a chance for Noam to use Vox on Theo, but I refused. This comes with the consequence of Theo remaining bitter about Pax's lack of communication about the detour to Liberty, but I would rather they work through this problem naturally instead of using Vox as a crutch.
23:43 Flashback in San Francisco
Pax wants to get a machine in Liberty to sell to Nova Scotia. Unfortunately, during the flashback, Pax get sent to an illusionary world with a huge golden tree. A bunch of paranoid people attack her and she has to use Shinra Tensei to fight back.
29:59 Issue 1 - Border Inspection
The Puritans send their aircraft to follow us, but they can't enter the border without causing a war.
The cops don't buy our cover story and we have to play a music minigame.
35:46 The Dust Born
This song seems to be a rebuttal to the Great Replacement Theory that reactionaries use to justify their persecution of minorities as a form of "self-defense." The song is very confrontational about it, essentially stating that they would rather become the enemy that reactionaries accuse them of being rather than become victims of the reactionaries' paranoia and hatred. They even go as far as to embrace the slurs and insults hurled at them. It feels very similar to the mindset Velvet Crowe and Aeyr Wilder have.
As for the line about pron, I'm not sure what to make of it, since it seems out of place in a song about GRT. Maybe it refers to how some reactionaries fetishize the outgroups that they look down upon, like in Hunchback of Notre Dame or in red states regarding trans pron.
Despite the lyrics being very obviously an allegory for Anomal rights, we're allowed to go through. Also, the officer will warn you about political lyrics if you got a mid score or identify with the lyrics if you got a high score. Maybe Pax unconsciously uses Vox in high score recitals.
38:31 Issue 1 - Oregon Roads
51:45 Rock Rabbit Campground
I gave all the gifts, or should I have saved them for future camps?
I'm trying to play Pax as nice as possible, but apparently, everyone else keeps picking mean choices and then complaining she's mean, lol.
1:23:48 Patsy & Horned Riders (Hard)
The battle system feels so clunky. Pax's swings have smaller hitboxes than they look, she moves sluggishly, and her running attack is a lunge that can easily miss. The shield guys are also hard to deal with.
I refused to strike the final blow.
