Is The First Descendant a fun loot shooter from Korea / Japan or just another micro transaction nightmare from the Asian gaming market?

The First Descendant started just a few days ago and manages to attract many players. The Steam reviews are however very mixed, some complaining about the high prices on the ingame shop.

I got into the game and checked if I enjoy playing The First Descendant or if it just consists of paywalls and horrible micro transactions.
