This is The Hunter, a now rather obscure Playstation budget release in European territories.

The game follows strategic RPG conventions: build a character, alter their stats and complete quests. Missions in The Hunter commonly have you following the task of retrieving specific items and will see you competing against three other players, taking turns to move by rolling a dice. You can engage others into one-on-one combat which has you pick cards to see which one comes out better. Dying transports you back to the centre of the level and makes you lose the items you've found. If you take too many turns looking for the item and escaping then you'll be hunted down by a unbeatable enemy.

Nothing is particularly special about this little obscure title aside from the fact I played it quite a bit with my friends as a kid and I believe it goes by a different name in the United States - if you know what it is let me know thanks, I'd quite like to find the game's OST :-P
