Recorded from Street Fighter Alpha Anthology on Playstation 2.

By the looks of things, this is a near perfect port of the original game. There doesn't seem to be any cut frames, the music and sound is CPS2 quality and it controls fine. Sadly I was playing Street Fighter Alpha with a standard Playstation 2 controller so I wasn't capable of pulling off the super combos as I hoped.

Infact, looking back at it now, I can't help but feel Street Fighter Alpha wasn't that particularly great of a sequel to Super Street Fighter 2 Turbo. It eliminated a number of SF2 characters, had repeated stages and besides Alpha counters and Super Combo levels didn't dish out a whole lot new to the series. It might aswell of been called "Street Fighter: Final Fight edition"

What I do like about Street Fighter Alpha on Playstation 2 though is that once the game has loaded there is no need for the DVD as it is all in the console's system memory - sweet. I've got far more fond memories of Street Fighter Alpha 2 and Alpha 3 so when I bought the anthology I think it is safe to say this one was cast aside by me pretty quickly.

I so need a Sega Saturn controller for my PS2 XD
