Metal Slug (Wii)
Recorded from SNK Anthology Vol. 1 on Nintendo Wii.
I think you should all know what Metal Slug is by this point so I won't bother summarising the 2D scrolling classic. Although this is the arcade version of Metal Slug, obviously being emulated, my first experience of the game was on a pirate copy of the Japanese Playstation port. Yep, the same port that got alot of flack for bad load times and tons of chopped animation. But I actually didn't think it was too bad all things considered and alot to easier to import than the Saturn version in the very least of things.
On the Wii, the SNK Anthology is a huge improvement over the previous Metal Slug Anthology. While the emulation is largely the same quality, the controls have been altered to suit all methods and there are no motion control set-ups what so ever. Besides that, there are achievement task-lists to complete and save points that can be made at leisure.
How SNK didn't think to include these features on the original Metal Slug Anthology is beyond me but I'm glad they atleast fixed the errors they made with this subsequent compilation package.
I love auto-fire :)
