Reggie Fils-Aime is stepping down as the head of Nintendo of America, and he leaved behind an incredible legacy of inclusivity and diversity.

Under Reggie's guidance, Nintendo dramatically broadened their target audience, leading the games industry in a move to celebrate the fandom of diverse genders and age groups for the first time.

Reggie's background is fascinating - he describes his parents as a modern-day "Romeo and Juliet", as they were forced to flee their native Haiti because of their forbidden romance. Reggie grew up in New York, where he was the only immigrant - and, in his own words, the only minority in his school class.

As he ends his professional career, Reggie does so as a successful businessman, as well as an entertainer in his own right. His brand of personal, heartfelt communication was ahead of its time, as it mirrored the way many brands would attempt to market themselves in the era of social media years later.

It's sad to see Reggie go, but his legacy at Nintendo speaks for itself. He has left a lasting impression on the gaming industry, and we're grateful for his efforts to bring video games to everyone, as well as his work to make all fans of video games feel valued and included.

P.S. Following a vote on our community tab, the Plants vs Zombies episode has been delayed until next week. Sorry about that, but it is done, and it'll be available a few days early on Patreon! This also buys us some time as our next couple of weeks will be very busy.
