Review of Cube World, a third-person action RPG in Alpha being developed and published by Picroma, a two-developer husband and wife team consisting of "Wollay" and "Pixxie".

Cube World started in June 2011 as a hobby project, drawing inspirations from Minecraft, Zelda, Secret of Mana, Monster Hunter, Diablo, World of Warcraft and many more. The goal was to create an infinite, colorful, procedurally generated world, full of adventures, monsters, and mysteries. The result is Cube World, a voxel-based role-playing game.

Because Cube World is currently in its alpha stage, major developments will be taking place overtime. But at this point in time, how will the game do in the market?

The Initiative is a review and analysis series on newly-released PC games. The series will show my first impressions of the gameplay and features at face value, and analyze its longevity in the market and community.
