The Last of Us running at 60fps (Intro) - RPCS3’s Future Performance
Short gameplay compilation of The Last of Us running at full performance using non-real time recording techniques.
The goal of this video is to show the visual/gameplay improvements that the RPCS3 emulator can bring to PS3 exclusives when performance and CPU optimizations aren’t an issue.
The gameplay footage was recorded/played in slow-motion using the game’s own debug tools (more info in the video description), and then the video was sped up in post-production.
[The debug tools also let you change the game’s framerate, but it’s impossible to test it with the current emulation performance]
This video is just a test. I haven’t been able to record more than a few short gameplay segments due to the slow emulation and constant crashes.
HOW-TO:
-Debug Menu code: http://www.nextgenupdate.com/forums/last-us/949392-1-11-last-us-debug-menus-offset-eboot.html
-The code only works on the PAL version of the game (BCES01584 and/or BCES01585)
-In order to play the game in slow-motion, you need to open the Dev Menu, go to Clock, and set the Master Clock Multiplier and the Master Sound Multiplier to 0.50
