The 2016 MTV Awards have found the perfect hosts and we’ve got the details right now on Clevver’s Trophy Life. Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson and Kevin Hart are set to host this year’s MTV Movie Awards and they need your help to do it! Before we see Dwayne Johnson and Kevin Hart share the big screen in their upcoming comedy, Central Intelligence, the pair will take to the small screen to host this year’s MTV Movie Awards and it looks like they will be needing a little help from their friends and by friends we mean you. The pair took to social media to make the announcement with The Rock announcing on Twitter, “I’m hosting the @MTV Movie Awards & you’re writing the promos. RT or reply w/ what U want us to say! Let’s roll 100.” On Saturday, February 20th at 2pm EST, Johnson and Hart will connect with fans via livestream that will be featured across Facebook Live, Periscope, Meerkat, YouTube and YouNow where the pair will take direction from fan tweets and comments on what they want to see happen on the show. MTV will use the footage to use as promos that will be utilized on Television, digital and social media giving the fans credit for their contributions. As for the actual awards, the 25th anniversary of the show will for the first time take place outside on the backlot of Warner Bros. Studios in Burbank where it will be taped on April 9th and air on Sunday, April 10th at 8pm Eastern and Pacific. Regarding the hosting gig, Johnson said quote, “It’s an honor to be hosting the MTV Movie Awards with a guy who’s not only one of the funniest guys on the planet, but who’s often mistaken as my twin, Kevin Hart. We live for our fans and promise to make this an epic, historic unforgettable night for them.” Hart added quote, “I love hosting, it’s my thing. Dwayne and I are the perfect team for the epic 25th anniversary show. It’s going to go down.” Nominees are expected to be announced in the coming weeks with winners to be determined by fan votes.
