I'm aware that the brightness may be a little too high in this recording. It is a little tough balancing the settings on my Wii capture card.

This is The Sky Crawlers: Innocent Aces. It is based upon the same franchise of the recent anime film, having you play as a new recruit in the famed Cougar Squad in an alternative World War 2 setting.

I was pleasantly surprised by Sky Crawlers. This video is of the third or fourth mission on my playthrough of the game on hard difficulty, I had already completed the game earlier so I'm using the better unlockable weapons and planes as I should. The controls of Sky Crawlers operate in a unique method. The thrusters of your plane are operated with the wiimote while the movement with the yaw is handled by the nunchuck's accelerometer. It works although can be imprecise and difficult to pull fast manouvers with. Fortunately the game implements some shortcut loop the loop commands and target lock on actions that make it easier to deal with. It is still optional to use a classic controller however if needs be.

I think Sky Crawlers is amongst some of the most under-rated of Wii releases, if you happen upon it, go give it a try. The game is getting harder and harder to find now as it is out of print.
