In this video, The Toyottes, released in 1990 for the Atari ST by Infogrames.
The "fluffballs" black rats that live deep in the underground, created by L.M.Carpentier are the subject of this computer "port" from cartoon strips. Barnaby, the son of the king, has disappeared while playing ball and we, as Cyprian, must go on surface where humans live, in search for him.
We are catapulted in a maze of corridors, pipes, ladders and pulleys where many other "things" live; some require you to search and give them an item or to do something, while others simply attack you on sight in a classic cartoonic manner. Best thing to do is avoiding them by entering doors or pipes (beware pipe cleaners at work) and have our life bar full.
Graphically the game is very nice, with small sprites and good animations. The framerate and the scrolling are ok and the sound fx are digitized and well made. The playability becomes good when you memorize where things are and where doors and pipes lead to.
Here you'll find loading screens and gameplay of me trying to figure out where to go and what to do.

All footage taken from original hardware machines and upscaled to 1080P.

Let me know what do you think about the video in the comments below but, most important, Enjoy!!!
