In this video, Euro Soccer '88, released in 1988 for the Atari ST by Grandslam Entertainment.
Also known as "Peter Beardsley's International Football" this is a game of soccer and I think I don't need to explain what soccer is. Indeed, what I need to explain is:
That you control big sprites in a relatively small playing area leaving little space for manoeuvring;
That controls are unresponsive and inaccurate;
That the AI is so numb that there is no challenge and it's much better to play vs a friend;
That the music chiptune is repetitive from loading until you switch off the ST;
That there are no off-side rule and fouls. The silent referee appears only when the ball goes outside the playing field.
IMHO one of the worst soccer game I ever played.
Here you'll find loading and selection screens in german language and gameplay of a single match.

All footage taken from original hardware machines and upscaled to 1080P.

Let me know what do you think about the video in the comments below but, most important, Enjoy!!!
If you liked the video, please consider giving a thumbs up and maybe also subscribe.

Thanks for watching.
