Greetings, witchers.

Today I wanted to show where to get certain Witchers book needed for the quest “The Witcher’s Forge”. It’s a quest from Kaer Morhen that I seem to have missed and just happened to start it while doing another quest in some cave to the Southwest part of the area.

So if, like me, you happen to be in the same situation and have the quest but not the book, which is the item that starts the quest in the proper order, then this video might be of help.

As we can see, my quest started when, once inside the cave, I killed an elemental golem. With the golem defeated, we’re told to put the book in the altar…so we can go to where the altar is but…we have no book, so nothing will happen.

So, if we go to Kaer Morhen’s fortress main hall, then to the southeastern side of the hall, and through the small door there, we then go to the next room where a big stone pillar is, and then in this room from this big tower there’s a table with the book we’re looking for ("Monstrum, or a Portrayal of Witchers: Volume 2").

Once we go back to the cave, put the book on the altar, a passage opens up and then we’ll get to fight a fire elemental (no other than Ifrit) guarding the forge. When we defeat it, we use Keira’s medallion to reveal the loot, and inside one of the chests I found a mastercrafted Wolf School chest piece…how about that? I don't know why but hey, cool.

I hope this small video helps any of you looking for that book all this time, and I’ll see you next time : )
