7,645This Power-Up for Optimus was Cut in Transformers 4. It seems like every year we discover something new about the last 2 installments in the Bayverse continuity. Those being Age of Extinction and The Last Knight. Which are the lowest rated films in the entire franchise. Many hated the how streamlined the designs were and how the Autobots now sported humanoid features. There’s also the fact that a lot of the original story elements were cut at the last minute. Such as Cade’s armor he was supposed to receive at the end of the movie. Which would’ve been the ultimate power-up for a human character. Speaking of power-ups we were also supposed to see a new form for Optimus Prime in Age of Extinction. You probably noticed the numerous re-color toys of Optimus during the films release. With 1 of them being completely silver and named the Silver Knight. Which as you can see by this concept art was supposed to be a power-up Optimus would get near the end of the film. He featured thrusters in his back and legs. Which explains how he was able to fly.
