Tinker Tailor Stalker Spy: #1,006 ( Stalker ) Loner Kruglov Between The Storms
1I'm not a Loner. My name is not Kruglov. My task is to infiltrate any Factions that I choose, in order to investigate and seize any of the new prototype weapons and ammunition, that have illegally entered the Zone. I have left the Mercenary Faction to join the Loner Faction. I am the Stalker.
Encrypted Diary: I set out from the Mobile Lab with my Clear Sky soldier to help me escort the two Scientists. No sooner did we get halfway across Kopachi Village, when an Emission arrived, making us turn around and run back to the Mobile Lab for shelter. There was a full Ecologist crew guarding it for the Scientists. As soon as the Emission passed, we were back on track headed north to the Anomaly location.
We were soon at the Ash Heap Anomaly, the location of the Scientist Escort mission, and I took the opportunity to do some artifact hunting, finding three of them. Unfortunately, I got too close to a Burner anomaly, and this was not the way I wanted to test my armor and artifact protection, but it did quite well. After looking around the hilltop and finding some Snorks and wayward pajama zombies, we were soon back to the Mobile Lab, right in time for the oncoming Psi Storm. That was a lot of action between the two Storms.
* Game Note: This is a good example of why I make frequent manual saves. I don't think it was fair, that I could not get the door open to the Mobile Lab to seek shelter for the Psi Storm. A glitch in the game? Scientists in the Lab causing this? It is unknown but I did not like the two Scientists that I was helping dying like that. It was not about the failed mission alone due to the stuck door, that even a reload could not overcome. That is why I went back to my save right before the Psi Storm, and made a beeline to the Mobile Lab. On this attempt, we all made it to shelter, and the Scientists lived, and the mission was completed.
