TI's Handheld BASIC Computers - Quick Look
Just a quick look - it seems there's a bit of interest and fond memories of this class of machine. Having a look at some that I have from Texas Instruments.
The TI-92's aren't really in this class but they do have QWERTY keyboards and nice, big screens, but let's just ignore them.
The main ones, I think ... that I have anyway, are the TI-74 BASICALC, the TI-95 PROCALC and the CC-40 (Compact Computer).
{Edit: I realised later that the TI-95 doesn't use BASIC like the TI-74}
All three offer a single line of display but they all have a cartridge socket plus a bus interface: DockBus on the TI-74 & TI-95 and HexBus on the CC-40.
Unfortunately my CC-40s are in pieces as they didn't work properly ... but I really should take another shot ... maybe over the Xmas break?
