15A quick update.
I've tested & socketed seven of the eight К565РУ5 DRAMs that make up part of the video RAM (I think) - so far, no faulty DRAMs (simple Arduino tester): DS5, DS7, DS8, DS9, DS10, DS11, DS12.

However DS8 had some difficulty coming out and I think may have damaged a track as the machine now shows a different garbage output and, more importantly, doesn't seem to boot. Prior to this the machine still functioned as originally ... garbage screen but with blinking cursor, then booted to partially readable menu.
So I'll need to troubleshoot that. Only one DRAM is left in this 64KB block ... DS6 ... so I'll replace that one too.
I've also replaced some of the decoupling capacitors ... interestingly (for me) they're 68nF instead of the usual 100nF I'm used to seeing.
Finally, I've also replaced some of the 100µF electrolytics ... these boys are "heavy" (relatively) ... I think they contain Niobium, so I'll definitely be keeping them.
