Tom Clancy's The Division 2 [Gameplay #2] - Come Cover Me
Despite being very frustrated by the unforgiving singleplayer gameplay of The Division 2, I've been returning to Ubisoft's loot shooter much more frequently than I was expecting to do after its release a few weeks ago. As mechanically derivative and thematically forgettable as the cover-based action is, it's still undeniably well-crafted and supported by some ruthless enemy AI coordination that keeps the player on his or her toes. The "corpse run" mechanic (i.e. having to run at least a few hundred meters from a safe area to where you were last killed) really kills the pacing in the open world segments, though, and sometimes there's not quite enough mobility in the animation-heavy third-person controls to keep up with a rapidly changing battlefield.
