It happens on occasion - there's a game that you're not too excited about, for one reason or another. It looks odd, or childish, mechanically boring, chaotic, whatever it happens to be. You end up playing it, though, and it's GOOD. Tremendously fun. A most welcome and pleasant surprise to have

This list represents the games that surprised me most. As you can see, several of them are related to intellectual properties that I've greatly enjoyed over the years. It's always tough to appreciate something that moves from one media type to another, and I always worry that board games on my favorite IP's are primarily cash ins. In this case, they turned out great!
