While Black Ops 2: Zombies started out rocky, it’s an overall improvement over Black Ops 1, but still very flawed. Here’s five things it did wrong.

#5: Black Ops 2's weapon sandbox isn’t great. The on-disc maps have terrible weapons, and the best weapons on each map are almost all map exclusive.

#4: Black Ops 2 has bad perk variety. It took until Buried to feature a map with seven perk, and most perks on the first three maps aren’t useful enough to warrant buying.

#3: Black Ops 2’s UX has a ton of elements that most people will find confusing. It took years for the community to figure out how the ranking system in this game works, and it’s basically impossible to tell what permaperks you may or may not have at any given time.

#2: Black Ops 2’s maps have extreme swings in quality. The game features some of the best maps of all time in Mob of the Dead, Buried, and Origins, but also features maps the community absolutely hates like Tranzit and Die Rise.

#1: Black Ops 2 heavily relies on DLC content. The on-disc content is the worst of any Treyarch-led game, so you need to spend money on more maps to get an enjoyable experience.
