Shi no Numa is the first round-based map in Vanguard Zombies. Here’s five things it did right.

#5: This version of Shi no Numa has far better lighting and visibility than the version already in Vanguard. In contrast to the previous version, you can actually see what’s happening on this map.

#4: This map also makes significant improvements to the Easter Egg compared to previous maps in Vanguard. It definitely feels more in line with previous games.

#3: The new area added to the map is actually useful. It not only gives a natural place to add Pack-a-Punch, but lets you enter the Comms room without having to open the door from the main hut. This keeps a viable camping strategy available and makes opening the door to the Comms Room hut far less risky for training.

#2: Speaking of Pack-a-Punch, it’s a great new addition to the map. It gives the map a place among the other versions of Shi no Numa as the only one with unmonetized weapon upgrades.

#1: Above all, this is a round-based map. Getting away from whatever Der Anfang and Terra Maledicta were supposed to be is a net benefit for everyone involved, and makes it the best map in Vanguard so far.
