Touhou Emblem Chapter 17 - A Crusade to sack this Mountain Shrine!
Been waiting to prepare on this chapter.
This chapter has even more promoted enemies, and speaking of which... One of the bosses is an Assassin with Steal and moves. Suwako happens to be big trouble, since Killing edge and Killer Bow with the double crit rate skill... seems to be even more superior one-shot crit monster than Daiyousei can ever hope to aspire to be. But most darnedly, this Assassin will steal the five growth boosts / Crit immunity treasures. Uggh!
Oh, and by the way, make sure to deploy Nitori and Aya in this chapter. Marisa can talk to Nitori to trigger NPC kappa Reinforcements. As always, keep in mind they might end up robbing you out of item drops if they kill enemies with drops. Have Reimu to talk to Aya in this chapter and... it'll lead to another playable character, aside from sending two promoted magic fliers (CPU-controlled).
Hatate is almost pretty much similar to Aya, though differing in the personal skill. Whereas Aya has Rally Speed (this could be really useful as it changes the attack speed and allow follow-up attacks or prevent enemy follow-up attacks), Hatate instead has Foresight, which prevents extra damage from enemy skills or critical hits. (But considering Snipers bows are still effective against flying units, keep her away from any enemy Snipers.)
This chapter can be that tough with considering that you'd have to try to break through a good enemy defense formation, and the fact you might have to race against your own NPC allies to get item drops and there are reinforcements that can catch you off-guard.
As for the other boss, Kanako, she's just pretty much a typical tanky FE boss with a personal weapon that makes it even more inplausible to defeat her by conventional means. You're going to most likely need anti-armor weapons or otherwise powerful characters that can take hits. So get your Hammers (or Luna tome user) ready.
And yes, I missed one of the legendary weapons in this chapter, the Fury tome (Light Magic), it was suppose dot be on specific tile (20 to the right and 16 to the bottom of the top-left most tile). Move Nitori to that space, it only works with her.
Next chapter is gonnaa be short but can be messy. At least we finally see the end of "Mountain of Faith" arc.
