Tower of Doom (The Fortress: 24 Levels) in 7:10 [World Record]
6Achieved on February 11, 2024 on a real Intellivision III console. Defeating a wizard in the Fortress adventure results in an instant win, although they are not typically encountered until Level 13(?) When selecting the Fortress, there are four different level counts you can select from, which will specify when the adventure will end provided you don't kill a wizard. My current world record times for each now are as follows:

The Fortress 18 Levels: 7:10 (achieved during this run)
The Fortress 24 Levels: 7:10 (achieved during this run)
This run got off to an amazing pace towards level 13, but Tower of Doom had one last trial of luck to throw at me: just because wizards can first spawn on level 13, that doesn't mean they will. Sometimes you can't get one till level 15. But at least I didn't actually end up missing any speed potions along the way ;)
My times could be brought down significantly if I found a Battle or Summoning item, which could spawn a wizard in the room upon usage, regardless of what floor you're on. The luck required is astronomically high though, and may not even be feasible to go for.
