111cc #845: Truxton! A big loud fun game. Recovery after a death is very hard: you power down to slow ship speed and weak weapon. Clearing a long unforgiving game without dying is like a tightrope walk, it's awesome as long as you don't fall. Great music, the skull bomb rules, pacing is weird. Final score: 1,333,360 played with WolfMAME 0.273, no autofire or other shenanigans. Happy Winter Yolympics 2025!
Even after quite a bit of practice and routing, I had runs end all over the place. Prior to the 1cc I had runs end on stages 1, 2, 1, 2, 3, 4, 1, 2, 5, 1, 5, 3, 2, 3, 3 (long session of attempts), then 3, 3, 1, 3, 2, 2, 1, 5, 1, 2, 3, 1 (second long session ending in a successful no-miss of loop 1)
