Trying Thalamus Collection 1 (Part 3) [Evercade #241]
Watch me Live!: / joshua8600
Halfway through this video is when I lost all hope.
Perhaps I didn't most games here enough time, but I really was not enjoying my experiences with these games.
Creatures II is...different...than the first game. That's not a bad thing. What is a bad thing is...pretty much everything else in the game.
Winter Camp gets a big NO from me. D-Pad waggling is terrible in games to begin with, and I won't waste any more time and energy and such a stupid mechanic.
Nobby the Aardvark is the best one in this video! It's alright I guess, but I got really confused and stuck early on so I just gave up and moved on. But it's not *bad*, I guess.
Hunter's Moon was too little, too late. I was already checked out completely by the time I got to it. For what it is, it's another fine shoot-em-up, but that's all it is. It's fine, but forgettable.
And that's the last of Thalamus for now. And I am thoroughly disappointed.
I think it's fair to say that (most of) the Home Computer games are just not my thing.
C64 1+2 (aside from a few games), nearly all of Team17 outside of Worms/Pool/Qwak, Home Computer Heroes, half of Delphine, and Thalamus are all just *frustrating*. THEC64 Collection 3 was my favorite computer cart.
I don't know. I'm glad these exist on Evercade as they have been in demand, but maybe computer games, for the most part, are just too dated for me personally.
Let's see if Bitmap Bros. 2 changes this pattern...
