Well I knew this was in development, but I didn't expect a ping in jdaster64's Discord about the release as soon as I got it after finding out abou this mod's existence.
And of course I was gonna try it! I'm a huge fan of his Infinite Pit mod, and I had no doubt this was also going to be fun to play.
And so far, it is! :D
Roguelikes/lites are so much fun! The random nature of everything and needing to balance skill and strategy, while also trying to stay ahead of the random nature of it is just a cool balance in this genre!
Once you start playing this, everything kind of falls into place in what does what. It's a great learn-as-you-go and if you weren't sure of something doesn't make that much difference early on, which is really good for learning without stressing over the choices.
In this mod specifically, I really like how he laid out the achievements section too. Taking it from Smash Bros. was genius!
So yeah, this mod is really great so far and I will definitely be playing more of it! :)
