Ubisoft has adopted new Ubisoft Original branding for its games
Ubisoft has adopted new Ubisoft Original branding for its games.
The studio introduced the branding in the artwork for newly announced title 'The Division: Heartland', and now the company has offered some more information on the switch.
A spokesperson told Eurogamer: "Moving forward 'The Ubisoft Original' mention is attached to all of Ubisoft's games created in-house by our talented developers."
As it stands, the studio doesn't publish third party games, which would suggest the branding will be attached to all games in the future.
However, it remains to be seen whether or not the designation is a sign the company could publish other studios' titles.
'Heartland' itself is being developed by Ubisoft Red Storm, which has previously worked on franchises like 'Ghost Recon', 'Rocksmith' and 'Rainbow Six'.
The game will be free-to-play and is set in the 'Division' universe.
