[Ubuntu 12.04] How to make a LiveUSB (Startup Disk Creator)
This video is a guide to help you in making a LiveUSB for any distribution
you want by using Startup Disk Creator in Ubuntu 12.04.
In this video, I personally make a LiveUSB of Lubuntu 12.04 for my HP mini netbook.
The steps to creating a LiveUSB are as follows:
1. Insert your PenDrive/Thumbdrive into your computer's USB slot.
2. At minimum, please make sure it has 2GB of space.
3. In Ubuntu, open the dash and type "Startup".
Select and click on Startup Disk Creator to open the application.
4. Click on "Other..." to select the .ISO file of the distribution
you wish to make a LiveUSB for.
5. Please make sure in the "Disk To Use" section that your USB device is the
one selected, and NOT another USB device.
6. After confirming these, click on Erase Disk to empty the USB drive
and prepare it for the process.
7. Once done, click on Make Startup Disk button.
Whenever prompted, please input your password (should only prompt twice).
8. After it is done installing, you may then click on the Quit button.
Afterwhich, the pendrive/thumbdrive is ready for use as a LiveUSB!
