Installing MegaGlest on Ubuntu 12.04 (Manually)
MegaGlest is an entertaining real-time 3D strategy game, a much advanced derivative of Glest, available for FREE download.
This video will help guide you to manually install MegaGlest
on your Ubuntu 12.04. This is for when the latest version
of MegaGlest is not available in the Ubuntu Software Center.

*Alternative Automatic Method*
Open Ubuntu Software Center, type in the Search field
"megaglest" without the quotes. Click on Install and when
prompted for a password, input your password. Let
Ubuntu Software Center handle the installation for you.

Manual Method
Step by step:
1. Download MegaGlest.
http://megaglest.org/download.html
2. Go to the folder where you downloaded it.
Right click on the .run installer and go to Properties.
Open the Permissions tab, and make sure
"Allow executing file as program" is ticked.
3. Double click on the .run to start installation.
4. Read the game licence and click the Next button.
When prompted if you accept, click the Yes button.
5. Read the data licence and click the Next button.
When prompted if you accept, click the Yes button.
6. Read the README for extra information on MegaGlest.
Click the Next button to continue.
7. You will be prompted with a Destination folder.
By default, it will install in your Home folder.
If you are unsure where to install, leave the default as is and
click the Next button to continue.
8. Let the game install, it may take several minutes to fully
install depending on your computer's specs.
9. After completing installation, it will prompt you
if you would like to visit their homepage. Yes will bring
you to their site. No will close the prompt.
10. Click the Finish button and you have completed the
installation of MegaGlest. Type Mega in Unity's dash
to find it or open your home folder and enter the megaglest
folder to find the executable that runs the game.

TIPS:
Please make sure you are using at least an AMD/ATi or Nvidia 3D acceleration enabled graphics card to play MegaGlest.
To fully enjoy the game with minimal problems, please
use each graphics card vendor's proprietary graphics driver.
