This is Day 6 now--it seems that I'm now able to cover twice as many characters in half the time. Nevertheless, I'm still going to split them into four characters per video, as there is a video description limit of 5000 characters, and these descriptions are all pushing against that number.

You will be seeing Phoenix, Spencer, Magneto, and Zero in this video.

Jean Grey is one of those superheroes who doesn't go by a secret identity--she's just Jean Grey. In X-Men, she served as Professor Xavier's assistant, whose mutant powers were telekinesis though Cyclops is typically in charge of missions. On an outer-space mission, Jean Grey had to pilot a space shuttle but was killed by a burst of cosmic radiation. During this time, she came into contact with the Phoenix Force and was put into a cocoon to heal for several years as the Phoenix Force impersonated Jean Grey (but to good intentions). Some time later after Jean has recovered, she decides to take the Phoenix name for herself. When she was killed once again, the Phoenix Force attempted to resurrect her but made an error and turned her into the super-powerful Dark Phoenix. The only way to stop her was to restore control over herself via telepathically projected memories of loved ones. (Jean is currently married to Cyclops.)

I had surprisingly little trouble here. The exception in the first half was Mission 4, where I hadn't noticed the "Air" part of Air TK Shot L. In Mission 5, I had to push left on the contorl stick to keep Phoenix close enough to attack but had to be careful not to do Air Flame Sword (forward + H in the air) instead of the regular H. Mission 8's combo looks way too long, so I bailed out and went to the next character.

Nathan "Rad" Spencer is the protagonist of the Bionic Commando series. This is a platforming series with its roots in the 8-bit days; the gimmick is that Spencer doesn't jump. Instead, he has a grappling hook attached to his arm that allows him to swing from things. In the games, Spencer has to stop a paramilitary force attempting to resurrect Adolf Hitler. Like with Mega Man, Spencer can travel between stages in any order he wants, traveling in his team's helicopter to take out enemy bases.

I think my input for Mission 4 was way too fast at first as the Standing H didn't seem to register. For Mission 6, it turns out I had to delay the Bionic Lancer for a bit so that Dormammu gets in range. In Mission 7, I was waiting until Spencer landed to start doing in Bionic Bomber. Turns out it's an air move, and I overlooked that. When I realized it's an aerial attack, I couldn't do the move quickly enough before Spencer fell until the end. I gave Mission 8 an attempt, as I think I can do it, but I'd rather move to the next character.

Max Eisenhardt was a little boy during Nazi Germany. As he's Jewish, he was put in a concentration camp (Auschwitz, I believe). However, history diverged from our world in that he had developed the mutant power to control metal and allowed internees to escape. He developed bitter feelings toward humanity and believed that mutants were the only people who should be allowed to live, taking up the moniker of Magneto and becoming the arch-enemy of the X-Men. Having been around for so long, he has total mastery of his electromagnetic powers, somehow able to control even non-magnetic metal. I do wonder what happens when enough time has passed by that it'd be unrealistic for him to have been alive during World War II.

Magneto is voiced by Tom Kane, whom you may remember has Professor Utonium in The Powerpuff Girls. Once you know this, you can't unhear it.

For Mission 5, I was learning what Force Field does, which is why I didn't follow it up with Magnetic Shockwave yet. And learning what Magnetic Shockwave does.

Zero is Dr. Albert Wily's final creation in the Mega Man series before he died. The android exhibits the same hyper-advaced technology as Dr. Thomas Light's final creation, X (not to be confused with Marvel's Dr. Light...nor DC's Dr. Light). Zero carried around a computer virus that would cause any nearby Reploids (humanoid robots with human-like intelligence) to go berserk. Zero faced off against X's team and lost to its leader Sigma, which somehow caused the virus to transfer from Zero to Sigma. Zero is now an ally and close friend of X as they defend humans and machines alike.

I seem to not have a problem with the quarter-circle-back, eighth-circle-forward motion today, as I had Zero do the Ryuenjin in one try...and later on, Zero does the Ryuenjin when I don't want him to. Now, Mission 7...I was at this for the longest time. Try as I might, I couldn't continue the combo after Sougenmu. Sougenmu is not an attack--it creates a shadow duplicate of Zero who does everything Zero does with a slight delay. I guess I must've not done Sougenmu quickly enough...?
