Hey, guys! The wait is almost over, as Netflix finally revealed the release date for Season 2 of The Umbrella Academy. A ten-episode second season is set to come out on July 31st, almost 18 months since the show debuted. In accordance with Covid social distancing recommendations, the main cast members, including Ellen Page and Tom Hopper, made the premiere date announcement dancing in their different living spaces to the tune of Tiffany's 'I Think We're Alone Now', just like they did all the way back in episode one. The White Violin, Spaceboy, The Kraken, The Rumor, The Seance and The Boy – all of the Hargreeves kids are officially confirmed to be back for Season 2. The renewal was not surprising as The Umbrella Academy made the Netflix top-3 list for most popular releases in 2019, and boasts an impressive 86% approval rating on Rotten Tomatoes. As you remember, the first season ended with a major cliffhanger, and although Number Five managed to save his siblings, they all seemed to revert back to their 13-year-old selves before they disappeared.
